If There's Privacy In the Digital Age

http://www.npr.org/blogs/alltechconsidered/2014/03/03/285334820/if-theres-privacy-in-the-digital-age-it-has-a-new-definition
There is, without a doubt, a lot of information to be found in the digital age. With a little big of digging you can piece together a persons life, a little more and one would have access to some of the most intimate and private details of a persons life. In this story, they are completely right - the prospect of keeping our stuff secret it is gone. We can only try to protect what is out there, keep it in the right hands, and make sure that it doesn't hurt those whom it most effects. Secrecy is gone, but a chance at privacy remains.

What's Your Data Worth?

The fact that our information is so readily available - unsurprising. The fact that our information is so desired - not shocking. The idea that such information is cheap - also not a huge revelation. The fact that the info is so cheap is incredible. And if people with big life choices ahead of them and unhealthy people are worth more in the information business, I must be worth a whole dollar.

But that rape thing! Wow. That information could be used in the right context but it could also be abused and should not be that cheap!
